Numerous corporate connections in the heart of Europe’s financial hub leaves Frankfurt School in an excellent position for networking and guest speaker events. Dr. Jörg Kukies, Co-CEO of Goldman Sachs Germany visited us as our final guest speaker event of 2016.

Selected students from the Master of Finance, Master in Management, Master of International Business, and Bachelor programmes were invited to this exclusive evening event. Dr. Jörg Kukies was invited by Prof. Udo Steffens, President of Frankfurt School, and Prof. Zacharias Sautner, Head of the Finance Department. The evening consisted of an exclusive talk followed by a Q&A session.

Dr. Kukies, who completed his PhD at University of Chicago, gave an overview of market trends, economic developments, and recent political events.

The selected Frankfurt School students made the most of the opportunity by asking various questions regarding current financial affairs in Germany and the rest of the world.

Dr Julia Knobbe, Master of Finance Programme Director at Frankfurt School shared her thoughts on the event: “I am so glad that our students are able to attend talks by guest speakers such a Dr. Kukies. The experience is enriching and students are always left with new perspectives.”

Samuel Kanyi, Master of Finance student at Frankfurt School, Class of 2018 said: “Dr. Kukies encouraged us to think outside the box, putting theory into practice in the financial world.”

We are already looking forward to more events like these next year, so keep an eye out to see who pops by!
