After 20 years of working together, it was time to organise a conference for our Executive Education lecturers – to create a focused momentum for our lecturers, to intensify cooperation, to discover connections that were previously undetected, but also to put a human face to people who until now had only been voices on the telephone, and not least for us to say “Thank you!” for the fruitful cooperation.
Some of the programme highlights included the workshop by ‘Flipchart Coach’ Axel Rachow and the Open Space World Café in which all participants were invited to share their experiences. This included, for example, experiences on best practice for functional competence in training, and on requirements for participants and teachers in the digital age. The keynote speech was given on the importance and relevance of social media for Executive Education by Oliver Matthews, Head of Marketing at Frankfurt School. This topic was enthusiastically received and many of the participants gained new ideas and opportunities. And lastly, a session on dealing with group dynamics and vocal training provided participants with practical knowledge on how brain research can serve the support the process of knowledge transfer.
In order for us to meet future challenges together, we invited Frankfurt School lecturers to contribute their ideas and opinions. We were able to collect and discuss various aspects of the challenges and issues that we face and how we met our future vision together. Insights into the future of Frankfurt School were made possible by a visit to our new university campus in order for us to discuss spatial concepts for modern Executive teaching. This was followed by a more informal barbecue that brought together new and old friends and opened the opportunity to reflect on the topics of the day.
It gave me great pleasure to welcome more than a hundred participants on the day and to receive their consistently positive feedback on these two days in July. I am already looking forward to the sequel when we hope to welcome many familiar and new faces when the time comes!
