What was I looking for?
During my last months of my Bachelor studies at Vienna University of Economics and Business I started to plan my next step regarding my educational path. The big question I was asking myself was: Where to study next? So, I was starting to look for a school, which would be the best fit to fulfill my personal and academic requirements during my master studies.

I wanted something international, something personal and most importantly something practice oriented. I was ready for more knowledge which I could put into practice throughout my studies. After my Bachelor’s degree, this would be the next logical step to advance my knowledge and prepare me for the realities of the working world.

Therefore, it was time for something completely new for me.

 What did I find?
Today, being a second semester Master in Management student at FS I can proudly say that I found everything I was looking for:

After starting my studies at FS I already profited from the career network that FS provides for the students. The program enables me to work 3 days a week in a field where I see myself in the future.

Admittedly, it can get very stressful, especially during examination and presentation phases where everything comes together.

My friends often ask if it is annoying to stay at home on a Friday evening due to classes on Saturdays. Sometimes yes, it can get exhausting having only one day off during the week, but at the end of the day I am convinced that this is worth it.

The classes at FS are small and of very high quality. It’s not one professor in front of 200 students but one professor who tries to involve students by fascinating them with real life case studies. I enjoy interactive classes with professors who are motivated to teach something and want to make the content as interesting as possible.

What I also enjoy is the international and very diverse environment. The small class sizes make it very easy to connect with my classmates no matter where they come from. As a German citizen with roots from Frankfurt, the city itself was nothing new for me but I thoroughly enjoy giving recommendations about where to party or where to have a nice dinner. My classmates are not only classmates anymore. They became friends from all around the world.

FS is the perfect combination for all the aspects I was looking for.

Where else could I work part-time while being a full-time student? And where else would I enjoy an excellent academic education in a city which is the center of so many prevailing industries? Probably nowhere else.

I am happy that I mastered my Bachelor’s at WU and I am very much looking forward to becoming a MIM alumni J. I am more than confident with my decision to study the Master in Management and I would choose FS again if I had the choice.
