88 per cent of employed persons consider continuing education in their profession as absolutely necessary or helpful and 74 percent of employed persons, according to a study by Deutsche Universität für Weiterbildung [German University for Continuing Education], expect “that continuing education will be increasingly required in their profession in ten years time.” The need for lifelong learning in order to be successful in their careers and in their daily work can therefore be considered as a given – be it through a seminar to update specialist knowledge in accordance with the Residential Real Estate Credit Guideline, personal coaching or certification on agile project management. For businesses, too, it is worthwhile investing in continuing education for their employees: Every euro spent on continuing education pays for itself with 13 euros profit growth and contributes significantly “to operational added value and business success,” according to a survey conducted by the Cologne Institute for Economic Research of approximately 2,000 companies.

Continuing education as a tool for the future is undoubtedly in demand.

The challenge is to find the right partner. Here, it depends on the individual requirements of the business or person. According to a representative survey, the quality of the measure is a relevant criterion for 64 percent of executives and managers, followed by a good price-performance ratio as well as time efficiency.
