Frankfurt School Career Day – my journey from applicant to representative

Professional expertise, a strong international network and personal development of employees. These could also be your success factors in the future!  We attach great importance to a good education, qualifying professional experience, continuous further training and social skills.

Grant Thornton belongs to Germany’s top ten Auditing firms. With 11 locations and 1.500 employees in Germany, we provide our services to large mid-sized companies as well as listed companies. Our work focuses on Audit & Assurance, Tax, Advisory, Business Process Solutions, Legal and Private Finance.

Within our international network Grant Thornton, we support companies worldwide with over 62,000 employees in more than 130 countries.

How can I start at Grant Thornton? What do my tasks look like?

As a student or career starter, we entrust you directly with project tasks within a team that give you the opportunity to gain practical experience. After a short time, you will be given responsibility for your own activities. Our practice-oriented training and further education program will support you on your way. With increasing experience, you will grow into the challenging tasks and expert advice of our (international) clients.

International work? Grant Thornton International

As a German member company of the international Grant Thornton network, which is rich in resources, we provide consulting services worldwide with around 53,000 employees in over 130 countries. International experience, intercultural competence and foreign language skills are becoming increasingly indispensable in professional life. You have the opportunity to change to another member company of Grant Thornton International for a limited time, to get to know the respective local areas of work, to acquire special technical know-how or to deepen your knowledge of foreign languages. At the same time, you will expand your worldwide network and meet new colleagues abroad. Secondments are possible for different business areas and career levels, and the time required is flexibly coordinated here.

What kind of applicants is Grant Thornton looking for?

As a current student, you are studying economics, law or information technology and have acquired a theoretical foundation in the first three to four semesters. Would you like to gain your first or further practical experience? You will have the opportunity to complete internships in our various departments almost all year round. In some teams you can also work as a student trainee.

As a career starter, you have completed your studies, for example in economics, law or (business) information technology, quickly and with good grades (Bachelor or Master) and gained your first professional experience through internships. You are very interested in all kinds of business issues and enjoy working together with other team members in a committed and responsible manner. New circumstances make you want to go beyond yourself. A completed vocational training, subject-specific previous experience, knowledge of foreign languages or targeted stays abroad are a plus for your application.

Let us speak to you personally. Meet my colleagues and me at FS Career Day!
