However, at that point in time, it was clear to me that I needed a master’s degree and a program that focuses more on hands-on case studies and people that already have some working experience. The Frankfurt full-time MBA gave me the possibility to study with other students from all over the world, do a few study-trips abroad (integrated into the programme) and choose Finance electives. During the MBA programme I worked as a working student for a smaller bank in Frankfurt and started a traineeship at an asset manager afterwards. This was the best decision I have ever made.

International Students, Case Studies, Trips Abroad and Life-Long Learning

People from 21 different countries and two study trips made our full-time MBA programme really unique. In February, there was an organised study week at Bocconi University in Milan and in June, we went to Oslo. Both experiences were amazing. We finally completed our degree with a group consulting project (GCP) on behalf of a German company. Usually, finishing your master’s means never attending any classes again – but not at Frankfurt School!

Life-Long Learning at Frankfurt School

The life-long learning programme which is offered to FS Alumni, gives former MBA students the possibility to attend current classes that were not offered during their programme. Thankful for this possibility, I attended the current MBA intake (Class of 2018) for their elective class “Renewable Energy Finance” – a completely new class with a very dynamic and integrative professor. During that class I have not only discovered lots of interesting and (for me) unknown facts about the energy sector, I could also attend practical group and Excel exercises. This is a very unique offer Frankfurt School provides its former MBA students with and I can only highly recommend attending these classes. Additionally, the new Frankfurt School campus (I did my MBA at the old one in Sonnemannstraße) is breath-taking. A beautiful building surrounded by many green spots with much room for studying and group projects creates an even better learning atmosphere.

I left Frankfurt School as a graduate. But I really love coming back as a life-long learning student enjoying the possibility to get a few days out of my office and broaden my horizon.

After having worked for three years as a recruiter in the finance industry, I definitely knew that I wanted to change my job position and start working for an asset manager.
