{"id":2465,"date":"2015-06-17T15:45:09","date_gmt":"2015-06-17T14:45:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.frankfurt-school.de\/?p=2465"},"modified":"2020-05-18T21:01:37","modified_gmt":"2020-05-18T20:01:37","slug":"fostering-entrepreneurship-among-high-school-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.frankfurt-school.de\/de\/fostering-entrepreneurship-among-high-school-students\/","title":{"rendered":"Fostering Entrepreneurship among High School Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday May 30<sup>th<\/sup> saw the fulminating conclusion of the American German Business Club&#8217;s (AGBC) seventh annual \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/entrepreneurs-of-tomorrow.com\/index.php?en_home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow<\/a>\u201d contest. Students from various area gymnasiums, high schools and international schools compete in preparing and submitting business plans on business models they developed themselves.<\/p>\n<p>The success of this event can certainly be attributed in part to the generous support of the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management which provided the facilities and technical assistance at no charge.<\/p>\n<p>During a five-month period, the students attended seminars conducted by AGBC during which mentor volunteer \u2013 experienced business people \u2013 outlined the preparation of the various aspects of a business plan. This included elements such as Executive Summary, Marketing and Sales, Finance and Presentation.<\/p>\n<p>This year, we had both a record number of participants \u2013 over 70 \u2013 and a record 19 business plans submitted. The students were competing for first, second and third prizes of 1000, 500 and 250 Euros respectively. The first prize was won by Anne Gegenmantel and Luca Schmidt, two young ladies from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gg-ffm.de\/\">Goethe-Gymnasium<\/a>, with their business plan for \u201cDanceShape\u201d, an exercise dance studio exclusively for women. Second prize was won for \u201cPosideiden-Dog-Wash\u201d by Susie Jang, Kyungran Ko, Christie Kim and Mascha Samkova of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fis.edu\/\">Frankfurt International School<\/a> (FIS) and third prize was for \u201cSupreme Cleaning Service\u201d, a submission by Natalie Voll, Maximilian Behrens and Elias Schultze-Loh\u00f6lter also of FIS.<\/p>\n<p>Again, our particular thanks to Frankfurt School of Finance &amp; Management and, particularly, to Undergraduate Program Director <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caton.de\/\">Dr. Matthias Cat\u00f3n<\/a> who shepherded the whole thing through.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday May 30th saw the fulminating conclusion of the American German Business Club&#8217;s (AGBC) seventh annual \u201cEntrepreneurs of Tomorrow\u201d contest.
