For this year\u2019s first get-together in Zurich, we picked a new location. Zurich is picturesque and its old town leads right back down memory lane of merchand\u2019s trade with tiny stores and handmade goods.
\nHowever, there are also newer parts where gentrification meets a steady Swiss taste for design and trends. When I sent out the save-the-date to meet in Loft Five in Europaallee, several alumni replied immediately appreciating the nice location. Well, I certainly hope the timely show up and happy gathering of 15 alumni wasn\u2019t only due to the restaurant\u2019s inviting menu, but also to the meetings reputation for good and fun conversations.<\/p>\n
By now, we\u2019ve build a nice little FS Z\u00fcri community that\u2019s always welcoming to new members and makes the evening worthwhile for old and new members. Besides the former diploma or Bachelor and Master Degrees, we also had some alumni and friends that did the Financial Planner or Financial Consultant. Our social spirit does not only transgress programmes, but also nationalities. I\u2019ve often heard stories about Germans having a tough time integrating with the Zurich population, which supposedly likes to keep friendships among its own. From the FS alumni experience, I can\u2019t share these impressions. We\u2019ve had several Swiss, joining our FS Z\u00fcri group, curious enough to mingle happily with the neighboring country\u2019s crowd. \u00a0So, many of our topics did touch upon the city\u2019s developments and idiosyncrasies, but also on the various studies and memories of known professors and staff, on different career paths and opportunities as well on sports, kids, investments and, of course, FS news, most notably the new campus.
