Exploring the heart of Berlin's VC world: FS Venture Capital Trip 2023

The venture capital sector is increasingly important in shaping the future of business and innovation. Frankfurt School's Venture Capital Initiative embarked on an insightful journey to Berlin, Europe's thriving venture capital hub. On 8 and 9 June 2023, we had the unique opportunity to dive into the world of major international venture capital firms.

FS students’ participation in A4S International Case Competition (A4SICC)

In September 2023, Frankfurt School Community Management informed the student body about the A4S (Accounting for Sustainability) International Case Competition 2023. Hong Nhung Tran, Tobias Klinkhamels and I, Cloe De Leo, decided to apply. We believed that the A4SICC would allow the three of us to train our skills in sustainability and human rights.
The FS Business Game, organised by a dedicated group of students at Frankfurt School, attracts over 100 talented students from renowned universities across Europe. They engage in a challenging and enjoyable two-day case competition in Frankfurt, utilising complex business cases crafted in collaboration with industry-leading firms.

Reflections from my experience at the Sant'Anna Business Game 2023

The Sant'Anna Business Game is a prestigious event that beckons the brightest minds from renowned universities globally and becomes the stage for an unforgettable adventure. We, Eshaan Kaul, Nabarun Ray and Sachin Baid, had the honour of representing Frankfurt School at the Sant'Anna Business Game 2023.
The FS Business Forum is a student-led initiative that organises a two-day event completely managed by FS students. From networking workshops and inspiring speeches to discussions and roundtables, students gather, learn and interact with renowned guests, partner companies and peers in various formats during these two days.

The prestigious competition welcomed 275 bright minds from around the world, offering an exceptional opportunity to showcase our skills.

FS Chance hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, Studierende zu inspirieren, zu vernetzen und zu unterstützen. Die Initiative findet in Kooperation mit der ehrenamtlichen Organisation KinderHelden statt. Durch ihr persönliches Engagement bei KinderHelden können Studierende innerhalb eines Mentoring-Programms Kindern helfen.
Frankfurt School Student Consulting GmbH, or FS-SC, is the official student consultancy of Frankfurt School, with clients reaching from start-ups to DAX 40 members, such as Commerzbank, Lufthansa and Bosch. As of today, I am one of 75 ambitious students who function as student consultants and lead all internal processes needed to keep FS-SC running.

Introducing FS MUN and the National Model United Nations Conference

“Frankfurt School goes to NMUN New York”. If this sparks your interest, but you have no idea what "NMUN" stands for, then let me explain. NMUN, or National Model United Nations Conference, is one of the largest Model United Nations conferences worldwide. But then, what is Model United Nations? In simple terms, it is a role-play of the actual United Nations.
As an avid traveller, I always look forward to exploring new places and experiencing different cultures. I recently travelled to New York City with a group of delegates from the FS Model United Nations initiative to attend the NMUN conference. As one of the heads of the initiative, this trip involved a lot of planning for my co-heads and myself.

How much impact can an individual have? How much change can a group of women make in this world? I used to think that you can’t do much despite doing your best and having your best intentions in mind. My mindset has changed, however. I now believe that to so much as have one person question the way they think and re-evaluate their bias is incredible.

Like many of you, I had already informed myself before my first semester what student initiatives FS has to offer, and one clearly caught my eye: Women in Business. Without further ado, I took part in the kick-off event and signed up for the list of participants without knowing how much enrichment and fun this would bring me.

Behind the scenes at UN: FS MUN delegates visited UN Headquarters after hours

The overall highlight of the trip was undoubtedly the alumni event held at the UN headquarters, which included a private tour of the building. After going through the airport-like security, our delegates got to see the General Assembly hall, the Security Council room and many of the exhibits and artworks on display in the UN building. The tour was truly an eye-opening experience.
Das HEC Business Game ist ein jährlich stattfindender Wettbewerb, bei dem Studenten von Spitzenuniversitäten gegeneinander antreten, um reale Fälle aus der Wirtschaft zu lösen. Wir sind stolz darauf, beim HEC Business Game außergewöhnlich gut abgeschnitten zu haben. Darüber hinaus gewannen wir den Gesamtsieg des HEC Business Games.
