I never imagined that in my professional arsenal a master’s degree would appear in the healthcare and hospital management. I am currently teaching at the Master of Public Health programme of the School of Medicine, Nazarbayev University (Nur-Sultan city) in Kazakhstan. More than a year has passed and now I can say that my life has changed dramatically.

Career Progress

As soon as I have received my MBA in International Healthcare Management degree from the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management in 2012, I got the position of Head of Strategic Planning Department. This position allowed me to reveal my creative potential in the field of strategic management, marketing of medical services, and positioning of the National Research Center for Maternal and Child Health (University Medical Center, Nur-Sultan city). Having rich practical experience in introducing the best international management practices in this organization, my projects in the new position were perceived by the team as something necessary and promising for general development. Since then, my own development has gone up, I have studied with interest the issues of risk management in a medical organization. This gave an impetus to the level of my expertise, and I was invited to advise subordinate organizations of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan.

In 2018, I received an offer to teach a new generation of leaders in the health care sector of our country as an Instructor at the School of Medicine of Nazarbayev University. This event radically changed the direction in my career: I focused on the transfer of knowledge and skills, my vision for healthcare of the present and future. I like to instill students’ love for the economics of healthcare. Though I have been in this role for a little over a year, I already feel pride and joy for our graduates when I see how much they are in demand in the health care system of our country.

Looking back on the IHM

I always strive and look for opportunities and, as soon as such an opportunity is presented to my attention, I immediately make an instant decision. The MBA programme in International Healthcare Management at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management has set my career on track and led to success. Having considerable experience, my studies helped me to focus and understand where I should develop my skills further.

If you are planning and still thinking about how and in what area to develop, this programme will show and prove to you that you are capable and talented to fully develop in the field of healthcare and hospital management, and lead others.
