My bachelor's degree as a career stepping-stone
How the network at Frankfurt School can take you places

A job as a consultant in the Skillbase “IT” at zeb offers an interesting interplay of banking and IT related technical problems. That’s just what makes this job so interesting for me personally, as no one day is like another.

But what should you bring into the job as an IT consultant?

You have completed your studies, in which you have already been able to build up a sound basic knowledge of computer science and business administration, you have a degree with above-average grades, and you have also been able to collect some practical experience in these areas. You are also characterised by excellent analytical skills, an independent, structured approach, and you are a quick learner. In addition, you are highly motivated and show great commitment both in your day-to-day work with the customer as well as in your personal development.

Since you spend most of your time with the customer in a team of colleagues, you should also have a good ability to work as part of a team and get on well with your colleagues, and appear confident and professional. Very good English skills help you to move in the international environment securely and confidently.

What does the job as an IT consultant offer you in return?

As a consultant in the Skillbase “IT” you’ll be collaborating in an international environment of the financial services industry in projects on various topics, such as IT strategy and IT architecture, IT risk management and IT transformation. Here you will be working in a highly motivated and collegial environment at the interface between IT and business management, from the development of the strategy, through the concept to productive use by the customer.

As a consultant, you will not only be challenged but also encouraged. You can use different further training courses to gain extensive skills and to develop industry expertise and methodological knowledge.

My business mathematics studies were a very good preparation for my profession as a consultant. On the one hand I was thus able to achieve a very high degree of analytical thinking, and on the other hand, the two study components computer science and business administration allowed me to form a sound knowledge base in these two areas.
