“Do I need a quantitative background?” “What are you looking for in a candidate?” “How many people get accepted each year onto the programme?” “What are my employment prospects like after the programme?” These are all common questions that we, as recruiters for the Master in Applied Data Science, hear on a regular basis. After the programme’s first intake in 2018, the pool of applicants who want to study data science is substantially increasing.
The data revolution is already well underway and employers have a lack of skilled data science professionals with the business knowledge to match. We’re ready to teach you in a hands-on programme all you need to know in terms of the life cycle of a business understanding data, big data, data science ethics, machine learning and much more! So how can you increase your chances of getting through our admissions process and starting your future career?

We are looking for individuals who will add diversity and drive to our international programme, and will develop and learn from others whilst working together intensely over the course of two years. Strong grades are an excellent start but we’re also looking to see that you have gone the extra mile. Internships and international experience are also strongly considered and can only benefit your application. So don’t be shy to include what you’ve been up to, we’re interested in all aspects of the application.

You all share similar interests and desire to strive through our data science programme. Top GMAT scores and excellent English skills keep a competitive market. We encourage you to really think about what you can share in a 45 minute interview – something that we can’t see on your application documents and that sets you apart from the rest.
