Blockchain Challenge 2021: Von wertvollen Erfahrungen zu zukunftsweisenden Technologien

Seit 2017 veranstaltet die Universität Basel eine jährliche Challenge bei der Studenten einmal mehr aus den Vorlesungsräumen, oder auch durch das angehende COVID-19 Chaos, von ihren Schreibtischen daheim, gelockt werden und ihre technisches Fähigkeiten, Business Development- und Präsentations-Skills unter Beweis stellen können.

Sustain Challenge 2023: Invest goes Green

Over the past month we had the honour to participate in the “Sustain Challenge of Talents of Tomorrow”, organised by EintrachtTech and the Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences. Our team was asked to develop a “Green Rewards Programme” for the Deutsche Bank App that motivates users to adopt sustainable banking practices.
Die Deutschen Hochschulmeisterschaften im Schwimmen waren etwas ganz Besonderes, da sie die ersten nach der Phase der Corona-Pandemie waren. Nach langer Zeit ohne Hochschul-Wettkämpfe war es toll, wieder in die sportliche Action einzusteigen und zu sehen, wie wir uns im Vergleich zu anderen Athleten geschlagen haben.

How my start-up idea won the Solve for Tomorrow Challenge

Before this challenge, I had never actually considered starting my own business. I am, however, very excited and grateful to have been given the opportunity to go through this process and also to apply a lot of the skills we have acquired at FS so far.
In December 2020, two Master of Finance students, Hauke Lehnhoff and Lucas Peikert, won the prestigious GARP Research Award to conduct research on the ”Impact of Fiscal and Monetary Policy on Asset Liquidity Metrics”.

Many prestigious business schools around the globe host what is called a ‘Business Game event’ for students craving for hands-on experience in problem-solving. As the Frankfurt School Business Game approaches, we would like to make a short introduction to the world of business games.

Entrepreneurship meets the Swiss Alps: winning the ETH InCube challenge 2020

Entrepreneurship always intrigued me, so when in early Spring I received an advertisement about ETH Zurich’s InCube challenge, I immediately applied. As a business student at FS I knew that immersing myself in a start-up environment would be an enriching experience, so I was thrilled to know that I had been selected as one of the 20 participants.
As part of the alliance, we the Frankfurt School Business Game initiative were able to participate in the 2019 rendition of the annual AEBG Summit in Brussels taking place from the 4. – 6. October. In the following I would like to share with you the great experience my fellow colleagues and I had.

My Hackathon experience as a MADS student

On the 20th and the 21st of September 2019, over a span of 25 hours, a young cohort of individuals came together to solve a task that had been a problem for the ECB for some time: how to automatically classify products into categories so that inflation rates can be monitored and forecasted?
Nach unserer monatelangen Ausarbeitung ging das Warten los. Als uns dann Anfang Mai die E-Mail erreicht hatte - in der wir erfahren haben, dass wir zum Finale nach Frankfurt eingeladen wurden - konnten wir unser Glück kaum fassen.

You might know the concept of a case study from classes you have taken. It is always a great way to connect theoretical with practical thinking.
