In recent years, our western democracy has been facing many challenges. Some have suggested clever integration of blockchain technology could solve some of these issues, while others warn that such applications will undoubtedly lead to disaster.
In November 2020, representatives from 15 Asian countries signed a historic free trade agreement that aimed at reshaping the scope and extension of international trade globally, as well as creating stronger trade links between Asian countries and enlarging the size of entire economies, especially their GDP. How well is it working one year later?

There were many positive developments for LGBTIQ* rights in the last decade, but despite many victories, there were also some setbacks with the increase of the populism and extremist right movements in many countries.
The crisis in Yemen, caused by prolonged conflict, has led to staggering impacts on human life, basic public services, and the economy. Yemen was already one of the poorest countries in the Middle East and the war has pushed an already struggling population to the brink of famine.
