Cracking the Cases: Lessons Learned at the HEC Business Game 2025

This March, my teammate Yannick Saenger and I  had the thrilling opportunity to represent Frankfurt School of Finance & Management at the HEC Business Game 2025, an intense and dynamic case competition that brings together some of the brightest young minds in business. Over two days, students from top universities worldwide tackled real-world business challenges, collaborated with industry leaders, and tested their ability to think critically under pressure. The experience was not just about solving cases - it was about adaptability, innovation, and pushing personal boundaries.

As Master of Finance students at Frankfurt School, we are naturally familiar with topics like valuation, financial modelling, and M&A dynamics from an academic perspective. However, applying these concepts in a high-pressure, fast-paced negotiation setting was an entirely different story.
Sustainability has moved from a buzzword to a key component of strategic planning. With increasing consumer awareness, regulatory pressures, and the undeniable impacts of climate change, companies are recognizing the importance of pursuing sustainable strategies.

The Solvay Business Game 2025: A Rollercoaster of Strategy, Negotiation and AI Magic

Earlier this month, Aaryamann and I had the incredible opportunity to represent Frankfurt School at the Solvay Business Game in Brussels, one of the most prestigious student competitions in the world.
Mit insgesamt 232 weiblichen und 193 männlichen Teilnehmenden verzeichnete der diesjährige Wettbewerb beeindruckende 1.429 Einzelstarts und 127 Staffelmeldungen. Unter den Athleten war auch das Team der Frankfurt School, das mit neun motivierten Studierenden antrat.

I recently had the honour of representing Frankfurt School at the 16th Edition of the Solvay Business Game, Europe's largest international business challenge event, in Brussels. The prestigious competition welcomed 275 bright minds from around the world, offering an exceptional opportunity to showcase our skills.

FS Sustainability: Tree Planting Initiative

The Frankfurt School Sustainability initiative organised a Tree Planting event on the 22nd of November in collaboration with Frankfurt School’s corporate partner and donor CHOM Capital and the Hessen Forest State Management in Königstein im Taunus.
Two weeks ago, I had the honor to represent Frankfurt School at the Business and Management Case Competition at Universidad Panamericana in Guadalajara, Mexico. With my colleagues and our coach, we faced three case challenges and competed against 15 other universities from all around the world.

The AKB Business Champions Case Competition: Insights, Challenges and Learnings

This month, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the AKB Business Champions Case Competition in Mannheim alongside five fellow Master's students from Frankfurt School. Competing against nine other universities, we delved into four challenging case categories in partnership with top consulting firms and banks.
In the heart of Paris, near iconic sights and bustling streets, the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management's Women's Soccer team experienced an unforgettable time at the prestigious Women's European Football Tournament (WEFT) hosted by HEC University.

I used to think that you can’t do much despite doing your best and having your best intentions in mind. My mindset has changed, however. Voices of Change: Inside the Frankfurt School Student Council

Being a part of the Frankfurt School Student Council has been one of the most transformative experiences of my academic journey in Germany. This role not only allowed me to represent my peers but also to contribute actively to enhancing our vibrant community.
This April, I had the privilege of representing Frankfurt School of Finance & Management at the most esteemed business game of Europe — the HEC Business Game 2024, held on April 19th and 20th. This event brought together 150 international students from thousands of applicants worldwide, representing over 50 nationalities, for a dynamic and challenging two-day competition.
