It had long been a dream destination for me because of its strong academic reputation and its focus on research-driven learning. Persönliche und berufliche Weiterentwicklung haben für mich schon damals eine große Rolle gespielt. Stillstand war nie eine Option. Heute, einige Jahre später, blicke ich auf einen Weg zurück, der mich vom Realschulabschluss bis zum Master of Laws (LLM) an der Frankfurt School of Finance & Management geführt hat.

What happens when a bank’s biggest borrower is a real estate developer in a floodplain? Financial risk is shaped not only by market forces but by the physical environment. Rising sea levels, once a distant threat, now translate into credit risk, defaults, liquidity pressures, and mounting non-performing loans (NPLs).

I’ve always been an engineer at heart. Not just by education, but by instinct. I look for structure. I want to understand what holds a system together, where it breaks under stress and what needs to change so it becomes stable again. Early in my career I believed - quite honestly - that the hardest part of progress would be technology.
