Are you fit enough for alternative M&As?

Digital transformation, green energy and e-mobility illustrate new strategic challenges that many business leaders face today. According to recent market surveys, one of two companies plans for Joint Ventures or Alliances to master these challenges. However, most deal-makers are not fit enough for alternative M&As. That is because, since globalisation in the 1990s, Joint Ventures and Alliances have been primarily used only in a small number of specific industries.

The 7th MaRisk amendment sets out new requirements for the use of models that institutions must comply with from January 2024. The requirements of MaRisk are broader, as they do not only relate to the models in the credit processes. Continuous professional development for specialists and managers in banks remains important.
Businesses today face the impact of constant change on a daily basis. Failure to respond early to such crises can, in the worst case, lead to a corporate crisis that cannot be successfully countered without major transformation projects.

The value of the combined organisation is usually significantly lower than the value of the individual companies. Goals such as realising synergies, developing new customer segments and sales markets, accessing know-how and technologies, and securing important raw materials and supply chains are often not achieved at all or only partially.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in auditing is increasingly providing valuable support for auditors in a wide range of audit procedures. Currently, the application still extends to supposedly basic tasks, but in the future, the co-piloted auditing paradigm will increasingly transform the application of artificial intelligence in auditing practice.
There is a persistent misconception that agile culture is a flood of colourful sticky notes and hip meeting rooms that look more like cafes than offices. Unfortunately, the reality is hard work and grey theory: Creating a truly agile culture requires experience, finesse, an understanding of human nature and a deep knowledge of agile methods, values and principles.

The question of the existence of a greenium is not only a philosophical one, but also one that concerns many stakeholders in the field of sustainable finance and investment. The question is whether the pricing of green financial products, such as green bonds, should in some way provide a financial advantage.
ESG plays an increasingly important role in investment advice. Experience shows how important it is for banks to build up knowledge about sustainability, as there is a lack of advice on sustainability. The individual preferences of customers need to be ascertained. This requires the necessary conviction to make it "click".

Despite challenges like poverty, food insecurity and healthcare, DFI's innovative business models have transformed lives globally.
For some years now, banks have been offering their customers the option of receiving electronic account statements in XML format. Unlike payment files, however, there is no obligation to process account statements in XML format ... yet! From November 2025, the banking industry will no longer be obliged to provide account statements electronically in MT940 format.
