During the 6th semester of the BSc in Business Administration - Banking and Finance, I have founded MAZU – a beverage company producing MAZU HARD SELTZER – together with two fellow students, Björn Thieme and Moritz Groppel. This is the story how it happened.
Why South Korea? This was the question many people asked me when they heard about my plans to spend my semester abroad at Hanyang University, in Seoul. Actually, even I myself had some doubts about my plans to travel to a country that most people only know because of Samsung or LG.

Erasmus+ programme: Exchange at BI Norwegian Business School in Oslo

I spent my semester abroad at BI Norwegian Business School, the biggest business school in Norway and the second largest business school in Europe with about 20.000 students. BI stands for Bedriftsøkonomisk Institutt, which translates to business school in Norwegian and was founded in 1943.
Just before my semester abroad, I associated Australia with a lot of nature, the outback and beautiful beaches. I did not expect to find one of the most prestigious universities in the world there, especially in the field of business.

Learn more about finance and improve your English language skills - your first idea would not be Paris, would it? This was at least my opinion. After the International Week, I changed my mind completely. It was especially the topics, in combination with the culinary possibilities, which quickly convinced me to take part in the trip to France which is part of my Bachelor of Arts studies.

About one month ago, I got off the New York Metro at 116th street to visit a place the students there call the most impressive campus in the most impressive city. I walked past the two statues and the iron gate between them to then find myself walking on a red street lined with trees toward the Low Plaza in the middle of the Campus. A few moments later, I found myself between the “Alma Mater” statue, behind it the Low Library, which literally looks like a temple of knowledge with its dome and its pillars.
Chaotic, bamboozling, intoxicating, crazy, exasperating, wonderful, squalid, beautiful, daunting, overwhelming, and fantastic.” That’s how Lonely Planet Author Daniel McCrohan describes India. And I cannot find other words that better describe the last three months that I have spent there. I have always been fascinated by the Indian culture but I never really dared to explore India by myself.

Im September 2015 begann ich mein Bachelor-Studium an der Frankfurt School in Kooperation mit der Commerzbank. Nachdem ich mein Auslandssemester in Singapur verbringen durfte, stand im November 2017 das Auslandspraktikum, welches ebenfalls Teil meines Bachelor-Studiums war, in London an.
Im Jahr 2014 erhielt ich mit Anfang Zwanzig nach meiner Ausbildung zum Sparkassenfachwirt eine sehr gute Stelle im Unternehmenskundenbereich meiner Sparkasse und war in der zweithöchsten Beraterstufe angekommen

Inspired by HEC’s slogan of academic excellence I was excited for my semester abroad to start. Studying Business Administration with focus on Banking & Finance, I spent my first two years at Frankfurt School before I temporarily moved to a foreign university. Paris might not be the first destination for most of you, as it is quite close to Frankfurt and sounds less exotic than countries in Asia, the US or South America.
