Coding the Future – Why MADS was the Right Move

Joining the Master in Applied Data Science programme at FS has truly been one of the best decisions of my life. It's been a transformational journey – not just academically but personally and professionally. This programme gave me the confidence to follow my passion for data, helped me build a strong network, and opened doors I never imagined. If I had to decide again, I would do it in a heartbeat.

HEC Business Game 2025: Cracking Real World Business Challenges

Earlier this month, I had the incredible opportunity to represent Frankfurt School of Finance & Management at the HEC Business Game 2025 held in Paris. Known as one of the most competitive and prestigious case competitions in Europe, the event brought together 150 talented students from 55 universities and 33 countries, creating a dynamic and intellectually charged environment. Over two days, we tackled four real-world business challenges designed by industry-leading companies, pushing our strategic thinking, collaboration skills, and resilience to the limit.

As Master of Finance students at Frankfurt School, we are naturally familiar with topics like valuation, financial modelling, and M&A dynamics from an academic perspective. However, applying these concepts in a high-pressure, fast-paced negotiation setting was an entirely different story.

In Deutschland wird derzeit intensiv über die Zukunft der Altersvorsorge diskutiert. Angesichts demografischer Veränderungen und der Idee einer kapitalgedeckten Aktienrente erwägen junge Menschen, immer früher selbst Verantwortung für ihre finanzielle Sicherheit zu übernehmen.

Das Studium war für mich mehr als ein akademischer Abschluss. Es war eine Zeit des Wachstums – fachlich, aber vor allem persönlich. Ich habe gelernt, mutig neue Wege zu gehen, mir selbst mehr zuzutrauen und in schwierigen Momenten den Fokus nicht zu verlieren. Besonders wertvoll war für mich auch die Erkenntnis, wie wichtig ein starkes Netzwerk und gegenseitige Unterstützung sind.

Berufsbegleitend zum Betriebswirt: Warum es sich lohnt dran zu bleiben

Der Betriebswirt war mehrfach Thema im Vorstellungsgespräch - es wurde als äußerst positiv aufgefasst, dass die Bereitschaft da ist, sich neben der Arbeit weiterzubilden. Inhalte aus Studienthemen wie Risikomanagement, Finanzmanagement und Portfoliomanagement waren teilweise fachliche Themen im Vorstellungsgespräch. Die also bereits im noch nicht einmal abgeschlossenen Studium erlernten Inhalte haben mir letztlich schon etwas gebracht. Nicht zuletzt, weil ich zwei Wochen später die Zusage für die Stelle erhielt. Der Betriebswirt an der Frankfurt School hat sich für mich also schon gelohnt - noch bevor er überhaupt abgeschlossen war.

A Memorable Evening at the ECB

I had the unique opportunity to attend the Semester Opening Event at the European Central Bank (ECB), organised specifically for Master’s students at Frankfurt School. As a second-semester Master of Finance student, this event was a fantastic way to kick off the semester.

I received this award as a woman who left everything behind—my family, friends, career, and a familiar life—in pursuit of a better future. Guided by democratic ideals and the dream of a free and successful life, I arrived in Germany in September 2023, completely alone.
