Navigating Growth: Charting My Course Through the Frankfurt School Executive MBA

While working as a US attorney in Germany, I finally decided to pursue an Executive MBA that I was considering for a few years. I had been working in law and the global mobility sector for over 7 years and felt this was the right time to improve and grow within my industry.  As first I wanted to gain a better understanding of business strategy to provide the best legal advice, yet I came out of the program learning so much more.

Searching for an EMBA

When I looked at EMBA programs, my criteria became clearer: if I was going to invest the time, energy, and money, I wanted a programme that was internationally known, well respected, and rigorous. When I first sat in on a class in Frankfurt School’s Executive MBA programme, I saw a great classroom dynamic. It had an intriguing energy in the room as a meaningful discussion unfolded between the professor and the students. Even after 7 years of studying at university, I was inspired to study again.

Deciding to go back to school was a big financial decision; however, I saw this as an investment in me and my family’s future. Education is very important to me and I wanted the knowledge and credibility that comes with a Frankfurt School EMBA. As predicated, it has been a very worthwhile investment.

New position with an EMBA

In the first six months of the Executive MBA, I was offered a new position, which better suited my skill set. Fragomen Global, a US law firm, offered me a position with more responsibilities on the business operations side and a large salary increase. I felt it was a recognition that my role had evolved from being a lawyer to a valued contributor on the business side of the organization.  Another great point from being at the Frankfurt School is making the countless friends and connections, which only adds to the contributions of the EMBA program. All have helped me learn and develop as a person and in my new role.

Take the decision now!

Over the course of the Executive MBA, I found more confidence to leverage this skill set into a new role focused on business strategies and development. I came to school thinking about general counsel positions in the future, but Frankfurt School opened my eyes to a wider range of opportunities within the business sector. I would suggest anyone thinking about the EMBA at Frankfurt School to move forward with that decision!
