In der dynamischen Welt des Venture Capital (VC) ist es unerlässlich ständig up to date zu sein. Der Ausbau des Venture Capital-Ökosystems spielt eine entscheidende Rolle für die wirtschaftliche Zukunft. Start-ups sind die Innovationsmotoren unserer Zeit, und sie stehen vor einer Vielzahl von Herausforderungen, die sich gerade in Deutschland aufgrund politischer und wirtschaftlicher Unsicherheiten weiter verschärfen. Um die Zukunftsfähigkeit Deutschlands – und nicht nur die wirtschaftliche – zu sichern, ist es essenziell, dass diese ausreichend finanziert werden. Hierfür sind Wachstums- und Innovationskapital der Treibstoff.

Though Nigeria is characterized by multifaceted conflicts, the country stands for so much more than a flourishing private security service industry. We didn’t start with a big vision—we found a massive problem in a niche we couldn’t ignore. By working closely with clinicians and our Medical Advisory Board, we uncovered a major issue: critical medical knowledge was scattered, outdated, buried in complexity and hard to access when it mattered most.
Qualifizierte Berufserfahrung meint im Alltagsgebrauch sehr pauschal, dass man über eine Vorbildung verfügt, die zur Ausübung des Jobs notwendig ist. Berufsbegleitend zum Betriebswirt: Warum es sich lohnt dran zu bleiben

Der Betriebswirt war mehrfach Thema im Vorstellungsgespräch - es wurde als äußerst positiv aufgefasst, dass die Bereitschaft da ist, sich neben der Arbeit weiterzubilden. Inhalte aus Studienthemen wie Risikomanagement, Finanzmanagement und Portfoliomanagement waren teilweise fachliche Themen im Vorstellungsgespräch. Die also bereits im noch nicht einmal abgeschlossenen Studium erlernten Inhalte haben mir letztlich schon etwas gebracht. Nicht zuletzt, weil ich zwei Wochen später die Zusage für die Stelle erhielt. Der Betriebswirt an der Frankfurt School hat sich für mich also schon gelohnt - noch bevor er überhaupt abgeschlossen war.

Erst hatte ich kaum eine Vorstellung von dem, was auf mich zukommen sollte, auch da ich davor noch nie ein Praktikum gemacht hatte. Jedoch änderte sich diese Ansicht schneller als gedacht. Ich lernte allein in den ersten drei Tagen viele neue Dinge und Arbeitsabläufe.
Als ich mein Bankfachwirt-Studium an der Frankfurt School begann, hatte ich gemischte Gefühle. Besonders das Online-Format bereitete mir anfangs Sorgen. Würde ich meine Kommilitonen überhaupt kennenlernen? Würden wir nur anonyme Namen auf Bildschirmen bleiben?

With the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), the European Union has established a regulation for all financial institutions within the EU. The aim of this regulation is to strengthen the European financial market against cyber risks and disruptions to ICT.

A Memorable Evening at the ECB

On the evening of 23 January 2025, I had the unique opportunity to attend the Semester Opening Event at the European Central Bank (ECB), organised specifically for Master’s students at Frankfurt School. As a second-semester Master of Finance student, this event was a fantastic way to kick off the semester and explore the critical challenges facing the ECB today.
In April of last year, the European Banking Authority (EBA) published a new guideline on the resubmission of historical data under the EBA reporting regulations (EBA/GL/2024/04).1 This primarily concerns Pillar I reporting data, but also data that is regularly submitted to the supervisory authority. The guideline explains how to correct this data.
