Cooperation Company Project: A Journey Through Retail Location Analysis

In the fast-evolving domain of retail, the adage "location, locality, area" has never lost its significance. However, determining the optimal spot for a new retail outlet involves a complex interplay of data analysis, artificial intelligence, and a deep understanding of urban geography. My journey along with Ian, Pei and Jinjia through an academic project provided us with an invaluable perspective on these challenges.
Embarking on a Master's in Applied Data Science at Frankfurt School has been a transformative journey, intertwining rigorous academic work with real-world professional experience. It has been a journey of growth, learning and self-discovery. It’s a challenging yet rewarding path that has taught me the importance of resilience, time management and strategic planning.

Immersive experiences are on the rise due to the growing interest in the "Metaverse" – not only for gaming and entertainment but also for collaboration in groups and teams.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in auditing is increasingly providing valuable support for auditors in a wide range of audit procedures. Currently, the application still extends to supposedly basic tasks, but in the future, the co-piloted auditing paradigm will increasingly transform the application of artificial intelligence in auditing practice.

Optimal control of complex dynamical systems can be challenging due to cost constraints and analytical intractability. In our work, we propose a machine-learning-based control framework able to learn quasi-optimal control signals and steer complex high-dimensional dynamical systems towards a desired target state.

Many democratic societies have become more politically polarized, with the U.S. being the main example. The origins of this phenomenon are still not well-understood and subject to debate. In a recent study, we analysed the mechanisms underlying political polarization using survey data that has been collected by the Pew Research Center from 1994 to 2017.
Companies worldwide are having very difficult times right now. Due to the spread of the coronavirus and the associated conditions, they are faced with a huge, existential challenge. During this global crisis there are also areas that can use the events as an opportunity, especially in the area of digitalisation.

I have always been interested in computers, but I ended up studying petroleum engineering. A main reason for this is that the oil industry was one of few options in my country Libya with international exposure. My dream has always been to have a fast-growing career, work with different people and travel to different countries.
