Frankfurt School Swimming – Premiere bei der Karlsruher Sprintnacht 2025

Am Freitag, den 05. Dezember 2025, nahm die Initiative Frankfurt School Swimming erstmals an der Karlsruher Sprintnacht teil. Austragungsort der 21. Fridericiana Sprintnacht war die Schwimmhalle des Karlsruher Institut für Technologie in Karlsruhe. Der Wettkampf wird im Rahmen des Hochschulsports ausgetragen und ist als Abendveranstaltung mit einem klaren Fokus auf Sprintstrecken konzipiert. Auf dem Programm standen Vorläufe und Finalläufe über 50 m Freistil (Kraul), 50 m Rücken, 50 m Brust und 50 m Schmetterling sowie die 100 m Lagen. Ergänzt wurde der Einzelbereich durch mehrere Mixed-Staffeln und Sonderformate wie die Challenge-Staffel und die Spaßstaffel.

Das erste Semester stellt den perfekten Zeitpunkt dar, die vielen studentischen Initiativen der Frankfurt School näher kennenzulernen. Zu Beginn des Studiums findet eine Initiativen-Messe statt. Dies bedeutet, dass man sich an mehreren Ständen, die im Campus verteilt sind, über jegliche Initiativen informieren kann.
Reflecting on my time at FS, the network, with its strong mentoring elements, has played an important role in my personal and academic development. My studies at FS and the support I received from faculty and staff throughout my years there laid the foundation for my further academic path.

Financing advice no longer comes mainly from banks or newspapers, especially not for younger investors. Instead, it shows up directly in social media feeds. On TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, finfluencers explain which stocks are “trending” or which trade promises quick returns.  Their reach is enormous and their influence continues to grow. At the same time, regulators and consumer protection agencies are raising concerns. They warn that entertaining, short-term financial content may encourage impulsive trading decisions. But does exposure to financial content on social media really lead young investors to trade more frequently?

No matter what your career goals are it is widely agreed upon that gaining experience in your field and working internationally can be of great benefit. Especially considering how the modern world has come to melt boundaries between geographies and has made it possible to work with talents earlier beyond reach.
Time management is one of the hardest things for most of us students and simultaneously one of the most important skills for your future career. After graduating from High School, I was clueless about what I wanted to do in my future. I would also have never thought I would like to pursue a career in the field of Finance.

Alpenwuff: wie wir als Teil der "Do-it-yourself" Generation ein Unternehmen gründeten

Während wir jeweils auf das Ende unserer Studienabschlüsse zusteuerten, haben wir uns parallel darum bemüht, die notwendigen Strukturen zu schaffen, um schnellstmöglich zu starten. Das beinhaltete einerseits die Gründung unserer Gesellschaft in der ich mich häufig an die Unternehmensrechtsvorlesungen an der FS zurückerinnerte.
Ich empfehle diese Workshops den Studenten, die ihre Zeit effizienter gestalten und ein Verständnis über den Prozess des Lernens entwickeln wollen. Wie vieles andere in unserem Leben, können wir auch das Lernen trainieren und die bisherigen Muster, welche unsere Effizienz beim Lernen niedrig gehalten haben, überwinden.

Working Student Diary: Portfolio Management at a Sustainability Fund

Sustainable finance certainly is trending in the asset management industry. But what is it like to work in this field as a career starter? During the last year of my Bachelor studies, I worked as a part-time junior analyst at CHOM CAPITAL, a Frankfurt-based asset management boutique specialising in European equities.
In einem Team von 22 Studierenden haben wir diese Aufgabe über knapp 1 Jahr hinweg zu der Anwendung „Correctly“ entwickelt. Viele von uns hatten im Praxisprojekt die Chance ihr gesammeltes Wissen aus den letzten 3 Jahren anzuwenden. Das hat uns alle in unserer professionellen Entwicklung vorangebracht.
