How my EMBA at Frankfurt School led me to start my own business

I'm Kari Foss-Persson, and my path to entrepreneurship began when I enrolled in the Executive MBA programme at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management. Initially aiming to deepen my understanding of business dynamics and leadership for my corporate legal role, I was inspired to start my own law firm – Vinland Immigration GmbH – where we help obtain US visas and green cards for companies, families, and individuals.

Ever present in the existential choices of adult life, ambiguity is certainly not new in fast-paced business environments. If the process of removing it has always been partial, as the world abandons the era of converging globalisation and becomes more geopolitical, removing ambiguity can feel more illusional than ever before.

Let’s be intentional this time.
Strategy and risk management are central to the role of a board of directors. They must take into account the changing nature of risks in order to adjust the adopted strategy. Risks of a political nature are one of several that need to be monitored.

I entered a highly demanding but highly rewarding programme full of motivated and highly capable colleagues that will push each other to learn fast and apply our learnings in our current environments. I am thrilled about the journey my colleagues and I will embark on. It will be an exhausting period, but I am sure that it will be extremely rewarding.
The module in Paris stirred us, created awareness and helped in a positive direction towards shaping a more sustainable future. I am very grateful for this week! I am also very grateful for the opportunity to develop deeper connections with my colleagues.
