Dauerhafte Überlastung kann in Burnout und anderen mentalen Überlastungen münden, was langfristig die Motivation, Gesundheit und Bindung der Beschäftigten gefährdet.

Current political discourse teems with discussions about language. People get hot-headed about gender-neutral language, street names, what one is “still allowed to say,” and the limits of political correctness. Recently, the German state of Bavaria’s conservative government even went so far as to ban outright gender-neutral spellings in all legal and administrative state regulation, the justification being that such spellings would make official regulations harder to understand.

"Loss and Damage" refers to the adverse impacts of climate change that surpass the ability of countries and communities to adapt or that occur despite adaptation efforts. It has gained prominence in the climate change debate because it is becoming increasingly clear that mitigation and adaptation alone will not be enough to address the impacts of climate change.

With the advancement of transformative technologies, the boundaries between digital and analog are becoming increasingly blurred. Immersive experiences are on the rise due to the growing interest in the "Metaverse" – not only for gaming and entertainment but also for collaboration in groups and teams.

Iraq has endured years of conflict and political instability which has severely impacted economic activity, no less for its crucial SME sector.Access to finance remains a significant hurdle for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Iraq. Despite being the backbone of the economy, contributing significantly to employment rates and GDP, SMEs face substantial barriers to obtaining the financial resources they need to grow and sustain their operations.

Recognising this critical gap between financial institutions and agribusinesses, GIZ Egypt launched the ‘Strengthening Access to Finance for Agribusiness in Egypt’ together with Frankfurt School, with the aim of equipping financial institutions with the necessary tools and know-how to bolster their service provisions for agribusinesses, to foster an environment in which they can thrive and, ultimately, to have a lasting impact on economic growth and stability.

Auditing with intelligent co-pilots: Generative Artificial Intelligence in Audit

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in auditing is increasingly providing valuable support for auditors in a wide range of audit procedures. Currently, the application still extends to supposedly basic tasks, but in the future, the co-piloted auditing paradigm will increasingly transform the application of artificial intelligence in auditing practice.

The 3rd Annual Conference of the Indo-German Centre for Business Excellence took place on 13 October 2023. It was a first for us: after two instalments that we ran at Frankfurt School in Germany, we now took the conference to India. Its overarching topic was manufacturing under the theme Rethinking Manufacturing in India and Germany: Technology and Innovation for Sustainable Growth.
