We didn’t start with a big vision—we found a massive problem in a niche we couldn’t ignore. By working closely with clinicians and our Medical Advisory Board, we uncovered a major issue: critical medical knowledge was scattered, outdated, buried in complexity and hard to access when it mattered most.

Launching your startup without a clear Go-to-Market strategy is like setting out on a journey without a map. A GTM ensures you not only reach your target audience but also stay aligned with their needs and solve their problems. 
In 2023, global CO₂ emissions reached 37.4 Gt. To meet our climate goals, we need to reduce emissions to close to zero AND remove 7–9 Gt of CO₂ annually from the atmosphere. Current novel Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) methods removed a meagre 1.3 million tons (0.0013 Gt) in 2023.

The idea for MEDICEO was born from direct insights into the daily challenges faced by clinical staff, which they gained through family connections in the healthcare sector. These personal stories about the struggles and needs of doctors and nurses became the starting point for our mission to develop accessible solutions that sustainably improve daily clinical operations.

These delays are usually caused by long and tedious development periods, difficulty with understanding the market’s wants and needs (especially when potential customers give conflicting feedback), and founders’ anxiousness about releasing an imperfect product.

Many startups fail because they focus too much on creating a product that seems profitable instead of first identifying whether a real problem exists. We’ve seen this happen a lot: founders build an app, promote it with fancy keywords like “AI-powered” and “revolutionary”, and then ultimately fail because people don’t need the app in the first place.

Over the past month we had the honour to participate in the “Sustain Challenge of Talents of Tomorrow”, organised by EintrachtTech and the Tomorrow University of Applied Sciences. Our team was asked to develop a “Green Rewards Programme” for the Deutsche Bank App that motivates users to adopt sustainable banking practices.
