Coding the Future – Why Data Science was the Right Move

Joining the Master in Applied Data Science programme at FS has truly been one of the best decisions of my life. It's been a transformational journey – not just academically but personally and professionally. This programme gave me the confidence to follow my passion for data, helped me build a strong network, and opened doors I never imagined. If I had to decide again, I would do it in a heartbeat.

I reached a point in my carreer, where I felt the need to deepen my understanding and sharpen the theoretical foundation behind the work I was already doing.That search led me to the Master of Leadership in Sustainable Finance.

Earlier this month, I had the incredible opportunity to represent Frankfurt School of Finance & Management at the HEC Business Game 2025 held in Paris. Known as one of the most competitive and prestigious case competitions in Europe, the event brought together 150 talented students from 55 universities and 33 countries.

I received this award as a woman who left everything behind—my family, friends, career, and a familiar life—in pursuit of a better future. Guided by democratic ideals and the dream of a free and successful life, I arrived in Germany in September 2023, completely alone.

The Master’s in Management programme offers four distinct concentrations, each developing different competencies, be it strategic, communicative or data-driven. This decision requires careful consideration of both personal and professional goals.

The German University Golf Championships (DHM Golf), offered an exciting display of competitive golf. Organized by the sports department of Hochschule RheinMain, the tournament took place under ideal conditions, with perfect weather and excellent course maintenance contributing to a successful event.

As a Master's student in Applied Data Science (MADS), we often see how the theory we're learning translates into practical, real-world applications. One of those opportunities came during our recent visit to the Hugo Boss headquarters in Metzingen.
